Digital Media Correspondent

With a digital-first approach to storytelling, I’ve collaborated with teams and organizations such as the Columbus Clippers, Ohio State Women’s Basketball, Visit Indy, and the Memorial Golf Tournament to produce on-camera interviews and content that amplifies their brand, engages fans, and elevates their digital presence.

I’ve also covered major events — including the College Football National Championship and MLS Cup — and spotlighted stars like Justin Fields and Joey Chestnut. For every home Ohio State football game, I delivered a “Hot Takes with Hanna” segment with my game predictions.

Check out some highlights below.

Hanna Williford's Reel

As a color analyst and sideline reporter for Big Ten Plus and digital media correspondent, I bring comprehensive experience covering baseball, football, soccer, volleyball, softball, and basketball. Whether delivering insightful live commentary, sideline updates, or crafting content for social media, I connect with audiences by capturing the passion and personality behind the game.

Social Storytelling in Action

I use social media to tell compelling sports stories, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at athletes and events on some of the biggest stages in the country. I spent 24 hours with Bryan Lavastida — who I dubbed as the most interesting man in minor league baseball — to create “A Day in the Life of Lava.” I took fans inside College GameDay as Lee Corso famously picked Indiana over Ohio State, and captured a time-lapse of The Best Damn Band in the Land performing Script Ohio, which earned 100,000 likes and over 4.2 million views.

I also filmed Ohio State’s arrival at the Rose Bowl, documented every crossed-out “M” on campus during "Beat Michigan Week," and was on the field for the raw, unfiltered celebration after the Columbus Crew won the MLS Cup. I create the kind of content fans truly want to see — real moments, real access, real emotion, and real people.

With over one million likes, I create engaging sports content that spans global icons like Lionel Messi, World Series champion Anthony Banda, Cleveland Guardians stars Jhonkensy Noel and Triston McKenzie, NBA legend LeBron James, Ohio State football national champions, and the Savannah Bananas. My work connects passionate fans with the athletes and stories they love through dynamic, behind-the-scenes videos.

Some of my hot takes were too hot. Against Michigan, I predicted a 25-point victory and holding Michigan to 10 points. As we know, that sadly didn’t pan out.
A handful of my hot takes hit the mark perfectly. Before the first game, I gave three hot takes for the season that all became true. First, I predicted the Buc...

Inspiring sisters: Jacy and Emmy Sheldon

Jacy Sheldon is one of the best Ohio State basketball players to ever come through the program. In her fifth season with the Buckeyes, she surpassed 1,500 career points — becoming just the 17th player in program history to do so.

But Jacy’s relationship with her younger sister Emmy — the team’s biggest cheerleader — might be more moving than her skills on the court.

After attending Dublin Coffman High School, Jacy became a Buckeye and is still able to see her sister often — especially since sh
